   I would love to win tickets to the Silent Disco party at Holocene. I love Holocene and I love to dance! This sounds like it would be an incredible experience, and overall probably a total blast. I really hope that I win!

   I went to a silent dance party in Toronto and after scouring the continental United States for a domestic replacement I figured it was some witchery only produced by Canada. I’d be so pleased to have a night of wild dancing where I don’t lose my voice.

   My first silent disco was in Minneapolis, MN during the PRIDE festival. It wasn’t a hit and the tent was pretty empty. My second time was at the Electric Forest Festival in Michigan and it was eeeeepic fun times. I’ve never felt so uninhibited. It was a little weird to take the headphones off and hear nothing and watch a bunch of people just moving, but it was when I lost myself in the music and saw how much everyone was smiling and in their own world that it really got me into it. I’ve not been to another one since, but after seeing there is one coming here, I’m really wanting to join up and dance down. Plus it’s my birthday March 26th and I’ve never been able to get into Holocene because the line is always wrapped around the building. Please, *raises hand* I’d like to go.

    I have never heard of a silent disco party, but would love to try it out! Plus, the Holocene has a huge dance floor and I love watching all the different styles of dance from other dance enthusiasts.

    I would like to attend because I want to have an incredible musical experience which will be heightened by the unique context of the show, consuming psychedelics with friends, and the masterful audio wizardry that the dj’s will bring. If you would like to deny me and my friends that experience, then I salute your courage, standing in the face of karmic repercussions. However, if you grant us this wonderfully blissful gift, then we will be most grateful and surely pass on positive energy throughout the show and carry that positive energy out into the world causing a chain reaction, a veritable tidal wave of warm fuzzes that will lift up the weary hearts of the world.

    Who has a HOT date that night? Who can’t afford to woo a potential boo with a dance party at Holocene because his wallet’s dollar game is softer than wet toilet tissue and can not swing the cover for himself, much less the lady friend on his arm he’ll be trying to impress? Who, in a desperate act to pull out all the stops, will press some fresh off-white jeans (because how long can one really expect white jeans to be, well…, white?) and offer my appreciation in advance to the good, handsome and generally well adjusted folks at PDXPipeline for the ticket relief? It isn’t Shaft, I’ll tell you h’what.

    Being immersed in a throbbing crowd of people all going through the ridiculous motions of YMCA –perfectly synchronized, totally ecstatic, and COMPLETELY, EERILY SILENT.

    Picture it. It’s too delightful a chance to pass up.

    I would love to go to this! We tried to do a silent dance party in high school and it didn’t work out. This has totally been a dream of mine to go to one for a long time. Plus, I have a lovely lady coming in from out of town and this would be just the place to take her…
