The May 11, 2013 show features 6 Urban Tellers: Jodi Sweetman, Barbara Jeppesen, John Gorman, Aaron Hartling, Tina Remacle, and Maura Conlon-McIvor. Real. True. Stories.

You’ll hear stories of Secret siblings. Band groupies. Visits to hash dens. And that’s just a few of our favorite things from this latest group of Urban Tellers.

Urban tellers stand alone, under a spotlight, in a roomful of strangers. Together, they embark on a high-wire act of shared experience which is both terrifying and exhilarating. These are not competitions; every story is honored and heard.

Beer is $4 and wine is $6 for those 21 and over. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres.

Oral history is incredible and the art of story telling has been mostly forgotten. I really want to see this but otherwise would not have the money to do so. Thanks for being wonderful and giving people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to, a chance to attend awesome events! Keep it up!

We would love to win! This sounds like an amazing event. I’ve only heard storytelling on public radio. It would be wonderful to hear and see the narratives.

I have travelled for many millennia in cryogenic sleep while my ship searched for signs of other living beings in the galaxy. I have been studying your language and customs in secret. To hear your ambassadors tell of their true adventures would surely be of great worth to my archives, as your television stories and “news” sources are confusing and seem to consist mainly of not-truths.
Your discretion regarding my identity would be greatly appreciated.

My friend is going through a terrible break up, and therefore has zero dollars to do anything. I NEED to take her out and cheer her up- it’s a medical necessity! I think this outing would be the perfect medicine. Please- help me save a life!
