The Oregon Modified Dolls are teaming up with The Portland Beardsmen to hold a landmark beard event. The Beautiful Bearded Lady Competition! To be held at The Tonic Lounge located at 3100 NE Sandy Blvd Portland, OR 97232.
Women are invited to don their most creative handmade fake beards and mustaches and compete to see who will reign supreme. The categories will consist of: Most Realistic Mustache, Most Realistic Beard, Most Creative Mustache, Most Creative Beard and Famous Look-a-Like Beard or Mustache.
A team of celebrity judges including drag diva Carla Rossi, fashion designer Lindsey Reif, Portland Beardsmen and North American full natural beard Champion Mr. Andrew Shuler and the Founder of The Modified Dolls and plus-size model Mz. Holly the Lolli. Featured on the cover of Rod Magazine, Alternative model Cara Mia will also be joining the judges panel. Awards will be given to the top 3 competitors in each category.
Emcees for the evening will be Oregon Dolls second-in-command Danger and Senior Council Member (and Portlandia mainstay) Mr. Jedediah Aaker. To entertain the crowd for the evening, hip-hop duo The Dungeon Bros. are taking the stage during intermission.
Spectator tickets are $6.00 presale and competitor tickets are $10.00 pre-sale. Both are available at www.beardedlady.eventbrite.com. Doors will open for registration at 8:00pm with the event starting promptly at 10:00pm. This is a 21+ event. Late Registration fee is $15.00. Spectator tickets will be sold at the door for $8.00 until they are gone. This is a benefit for The Children’s Miracle Network.
The Modified Dolls are a Washington based non-profit of tattooed and/or otherwise “modifed” women currently represented in 26 states and 6 countries. TMD supports one charity each month. Their goal is to demolish the negative stereotypes associated with being a modified woman by doing charity work.
The Portland Beardsmen represent Portland in bearding competitions all across the country, often bringing home gold. They also give back to the community through charitable works.
The Children’s Miracle Network was established nationally in 1983 to help children by actively supporting improved health care for millions of young people around the world. CMN’s mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, now numbering more than 170 nationwide.
