The Portland comedy web series Potty Talk is ready to release its second series: seven sketches and six interludes, with two public premieres – because there is no better way to enjoy great comedy than with a ton of people at a rockin’ party.
Series 2 includes sketches about the polite way to share a toilet seat, a potluck in the garden of Eden, federal agents who pressure you to overshare personal details, that annoying day when everyone keeps telling you to “smile!”, a Jane Austen ball full of keg stands and techno music, and much more! Who knows what toilet hijinks and sophomoric humor awaits? Check out our Series 2 preview here.
One way to be in the Potty Talk in crowd: September 13th, PARTY AT FORD FOOD + DRINK, 2505 SE 11th Ave, #101, Portland. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and will remain open to fashionably late comers. Tickets are $10 at the door, with a $3 discount to those who bring new bathroom and hygiene items to donate to the Raphael House (raphaelhouse.com). Featuring the first ever screening of Potty Talk Series 2, a keg from New Belgium Brewery, and also a line-up of Portland’s funniest female comics including Barbara Holm, Grace Sadie Cejas, Andie Main, Crystal Davis, Neesie Doss and Bri Pruett.
The second way to be a part of the magic: September 14th, THE SILVER SCREEN PREMIERE AT THE HOLLYWOOD THEATRE, 4122 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97212. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10. Join the cast and crew in watching the new season on the big screen. Stay after for a talk back with the creator and Potty Talk team. Be prepared for an after party.
Ticket sales benefit the production of Potty Talk, and its pledge to compensate all of the artists that contributed their talents in the creation of Series 2. The series has employed approximately 30 actors, editors, crew members, and artists dedicated to laughing at the typical views of femininity. Potty Talk not only believes that women are funny, they know it. That is why over %70 of the actors are women, and the primary production crew is all female. Potty Talk not only makes you laugh, it starts a movement…
