Death meets his match in Mrs. Fischer, a tenacious granny not ready to breathe her last. In this acclaimed comedy from physical theater company WONDERHEADS, an aging grandmother is pitted against the Grim Reaper himself and must confront the inevitable question: what is it to know death is near? Can you ignore it? Can you escape it? Can you hit it in the face with a frying pan?
Winner of six Best of Fest Awards and described by the CBC as “Utter magic,” Grim and Fischer is performed in full-face mask, a wordless form which audiences have described as watching ‘live-action Pixar.’ It’s been touring the continent since 2009 and the WONDERHEADS are thrilled to be bringing it back home to Portland audiences.
