The World Forestry Center invites visitors to fuel their caffeine addiction with Coffee Fair on Saturday and Sunday, November 2 & 3 from 10am-3pm.
This special event celebrates the world’s most popular drink in all its forms: espresso, lattes, even the plain ol’ Cup O’ Joe.
Admission to Coffee Fair is only $5 and also includes admittance to the Discovery Museum showcasing its newest exhibit, “Nature’s Beloved Son: Rediscovering John Muir’s Botanical Legacy.”
The World Forestry Center hopes to educate coffee consumers about where their coffee comes from and how it is produced. Visitors can expect a total immersion in Northwest coffee culture through savoring and sipping coffees from around the globe from a variety of Pacific Northwest premier roasters and coffee-related vendors. Coffee tasting has become an art, some say surpassing wine in chemical complexity. Visitors are encouraged to discover new favorite coffees then meet the skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen who roast them.
Coffee Fair is sponsored in part by: K&F Coffee Roasters, Mr Green Beans, The Oregonian, and KINK 101.9 FM.
The World Forestry Center is a 501(c)(3) non profit educational organization dedicated to teaching about the world’s forests, trees and environmental sustainability. The museum is located in Portland’s beautiful Washington Park and is open every day from 10am- 5pm. Admission for Coffee Fair is $5 for everyone and available at the door. The museum is five minutes from downtown Portland, just off Hwy 26 and is also accessible by MAX light rail line.
