Portland’s Rain of Glass, Inc., is pleased to present our 34th annual Show & Sale of Antiques, Collectibles, Glass and Vintage on January 25 & 26, 2014, at the Washington County Fairgrounds, 873 N.E. 34th at Cornell, across from the Hillsboro Airport in Hillsboro, Oregon. Show hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7.00.
Merchandise must be 20 years old or older to qualify for the sale. Our 2014 Show will feature a very special guest: Sam Kissée, past president of the Early American Pattern Glass Society and expert on Carder Steuben glass, Victorian art glass and Czechoslovakian glass will join Sandra Millius, I.S.A., Jeff Motsinger, I.S.A., Neal Skibinski, and other Northwest glass experts on the Rain of Glass Appraisal Team. They will provide appraisals of glass, china, pottery, silver and other antiques and collectibles during all show hours. A donation of $3 per item is requested, with the proceeds to benefit our reference library fund.
Rain of Glass is the Northwest’s oldest and largest glass and ceramics show and sale, and with the addition of silver, jewelry, linens, kitchen accessories and other antiques and collectibles our show has grown in popularity with even more collectors. Professional dealers from the Northwest will bring exceptional merchandise for sale for a wonderful two-day event.
An exciting feature of the event is the show, a beautiful display of glass and collectibles from the private collections of Rain of Glass members. These items are not for sale, but everyone is welcome to enjoy and learn from viewing these wonderful treasures. This year’s theme is “Collectors Choice,” and will feature tables of antique and collectible glass, china, pottery and silver including a special display of 1920’s-30’s Czechoslovakian glass.
Also included will be a sale of reference books on glass and other antique and collectible topics, glass repair by Real Oldies of Yesteryear, and a snack bar.
Parking is free, and MAX stops at the Fairgrounds just a couple of blocks from our front door.
