Just like last year, we are now conducting a month-long survey of Hophouse patrons, who will be able to choose the top Oregon IPA. All of our customers will be able to vote online or in the pub. Last January, you overwhelmingly picked RPM, a big beer by a newer, small brewery in Bend called Boneyard. We had RPM on Tap 1 most of the year at both pubs – we filled a ridiculous amount of pints and growlers with RPM in 2013.
Will you vote to keep RPM in the top spot, or is there another stronger beer out there? Will it be another up-and-coming Bend brewery, or a beer made here in Portland?
Please vote via the survey, or stop by a pub and fill out a form. One ballot per person – we’ll discard any duplicates.
Like last year, if you do pick the eventual winner, you’ll get a card for a $1 pint of that beer. The winning beer will be announced February 4.
Also this month, within the pubs, we are offering an 8-flight taster of some of your favorite IPA’s. All of these beers are Hophouse staples – loved by us and you alike – and were either top finishers in last year’s polls or are in top demand right now. These beers will be on tap at both pubs all month:
Boneyard IPA, Gigantic IPA, 10 Barrel Apocalypse, GoodLife Descender , Double Mountain Hop Lava, Fort George Vortex, Worthy IPA, Hop Valley Alphadelic.
This is a good opportunity to come see if there is really that big of a difference between the beers, because you can taste them side-by-side. The 8-flight taster will cost only $8. Plus if you love one of these, you can always get a pint or two or fill up a growler.
