  16. Kathryn May 19, 2014 at 20:41 #

I have lived in the Rose City my entire life and have always made it a point to come check out the Rose Festival Fun Center and all the attractions whenever possible. I have been strolling my son to see the sights for the past 4 years. On Thursday, May 22nd he will be 5 and is finally tall enough and brave enough to enjoy the fun that the Fair has to offer. I have been in school full time & working part time for the past year and exhausted myself financially. I graduated in March, just started a new job this month but still not financially equipped to afford the entertainment. I would love the opportunity to take my son as a means of celebrating his birthday all weekend.

    Thank you :)

  17. Shylo Jphnson May 19, 2014 at 21:36 #

It my friend’s birthday this week (weds)! We’re looking for something to do downtown during the day! Would love to go to this! Ready to make some memories!!

  18. Yvette May 19, 2014 at 22:12 #

This is one of my 13 year daughters favorite thing to do each year. Rides, elephant ears and laughing at mom screeching on the swings that go over the bridge. .
I’m keenly aware soon she will want nothing to do with attending with mom. I enjoy every minute of it every year :) Wristbands would be wonderful!

  19. Miranda May 19, 2014 at 23:34 #

I would like to win because who doesn’t like rides and the rose festival!? That is just crazy talk. Every summer I look forward to the festival, the festivities the smiling faces, the screams resounding through the area from the rides… The beer garden! I am in, pick me and it will be my screams you hear from the octopus.

  20. Colette May 20, 2014 at 04:42 #

Thanks pdxpipeline! Would love to be “Making Memories” at the Rose Festival Fun Center this weekend!

  21. Brittney May 20, 2014 at 08:10 #

I would like to win because May 31st is my birthday and I will be traveling to portland with my family from southern Oregon. Being able to enjoy the rose festival would top off a great adventure!

  22. Tyler Bradford May 20, 2014 at 09:55 #

Well, my son is now five, so I’m pretty sure it’s time to cram him full of fried dough and Dr. Pepper, take him on the Gravitron/Turkish Twist/Scramler/etc, and simultaneously educate him on the effects of motion sickness and centrifugal force.

What? they don’t allow 5 year-olds on the Vomitron? #THANKSOBAMA

  23. Tim May 20, 2014 at 10:33 #

It would be fun to take my family down for some carnival rides. We usually don’t make it down

We’ve never been and we would love to spend Memorial Day weekend playing :-) Thank you!

  34. Lauretta May 20, 2014 at 15:22 #

Oh man, oh man, oh man! If I get the tickets I’ll take my husband and two of my students. I don’t know if the kids or the adults would have more fun, we are a little CRAZYYYYYY! Seriously though, there is nothing better than watching adults try to keep their cheese and their glasses while sliding around in those seats. Fun to do and fun to watch!

  35. Noah Dorsey May 20, 2014 at 15:47 #

I want to take my sister-in-law and her boyfriend who are visiting from San Diego for the weekend!

I would really like to win the unlimited ride bracelets to the Rose Festival carnival because even though I have lived here my whole life I still seem to miss it every year! If I won I would take my friends with me and we would have the bestest of times and make many memories that we could tell to someones children.
Please pick me and make a girl very happy!

  37. Wintress Watson May 20, 2014 at 16:35 #

  38. carla May 20, 2014 at 19:41 #

This weekend marks the 1yr anniversary of enduring a really terrible job that has taken so much time away from being with my family. This fair would bring back the much needed silliness and youthful fun my family needs.

*** I want to give tickets to a well deserving friend and her family***
My friend is a single mother that works so hard to make ends meet. She has 3 well rounded, responsible, and loved teenage kids- due to her committment to her family. She makes her kids feel special with inexpensive activities such as scavenger hunts and park outings and has never been able to afford the Rose Festival. I think it would be great for them to be able to go this year. Thank you!

  44. wendy binion May 21, 2014 at 09:47 #

I’ve never been to the Rose Festival and I have a very exciting first date that day. How awesome would it be to combine the two? Very awesome!

  60. Connie May 21, 2014 at 22:53 #

It is a perfect match! We decided in 2014 we would MAKE MEMORIES instead of buying stuff! And, we have 4 kids! Thank you for even considering!

  61. Tina Kohler May 21, 2014 at 23:04 #

Every year for the last 6 years my children their spouses and my grandchildren meet in Portland to volunteer and enjoy everything the rose festival has to offer. Its a great opportunity for us to all get together and do something great in our community at the same time. It’s usually a weekend of making memories and snapping photos and helping others. Other than a quick spin on the Ferris wheel at night we usually skip the carnival as it’s pretty expensive for all 4 grand kids to buy wristbands. Although we are volunteering two days this year down there it would be an amazing experience to win this bundle for the grandchildren.
    Tina

  62. Wendy T. May 22, 2014 at 06:56 #

I’ve never been to the Rose Festival and would love to win free unlimited rides!

  65. Kelly May 22, 2014 at 08:03 #

I love this carnival right by the waterfront! A night that includes cotton candy and a ferris wheel ride can’t get any better to me!

  88. Kami Kern May 22, 2014 at 16:11 #

We just got my oldest son back from 7 months of studying in Germany as a high school exchange student. My 11 year old needs fun time with his 16 year old brother to bond again. This would be perfect for them! They both love riding all of the carnival rides, and would spend the whole day enjoying themselves together! We would have a family day!

  89. Anna K May 22, 2014 at 16:19 #

I am a roller coaster and fair FANATIC!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that there are no “real” theme parks in Oregon. Along with my fellow thrill-chasers, I am left parched and chagrined…. sequestered to climb buildings and swim raging rapids in the hope of catching that thrill of heights and chasing those near-death moments. For my FIRST MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND in Portland, this would be the cat’s pajamas. The cherry on top! The loop in my roller coaster! Please :-)

  90. Greg May 22, 2014 at 16:21 #

This would be really great to take my girlfriend and her daughter to. I became unemployed three weeks ago and they’ve both been talking about going.

How awesome would 4 wristbands be for a family of four new Portlandians!! Regardless, can’t wait to check out the festival this weekend…my son noticed the rides going up on Monday and lost his mind!

Haven’t seen her for a month as I work down here.
Would love to be Making Memories with her & show her a great Rose Fest time at City Faire with the tickets!
    Cheers & thanks !!!

I have a good friend visiting from out-of-town. There are many unique activities at the City Fair this year that she would find fun. I hope she would want to return to Portland as soon as possible. This city has so many unique events. I want to show it off !

I would love to take my family to this! My husband is the only one who provides for us and our 2 girls. I’m a stay at home mom with a disability and we struggle on a constant basis with our finances. It’s really quite frustrating.

For once, I would like to suprise them with a good time and see my kids’ smiling faces, having an awesome time!

So there’s my sob story ;p

Thanks for the consideration and GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :)

My sister is visiting Portland from San Diego for the first time, and the fair would make a fantastic first impression!!

I am a single mom and can’t afford to go. I would love to take my daughter and a couple of her friends. This use to be my favorite festival when I was growing up. Would look forward to it every year. I would like my daughter to have the same experience.

Please give us tickets because my mother-in-law is visiting and we are running out of things to do and it’s making us crazy.

  124. Breanna May 25, 2014 at 21:08 #

I’ve lived in Portland for 2 years now and I absolutely love the Rose Festival! I have never had unlimited ride bracelets before and I think it would be awesome if me and my family could get these :)

  125. jessica May 26, 2014 at 16:52 #

I am a single mom in school with a limited income. I have 2 sons ages 5 and 9. They have been asking to go to rose festival all month. I have cut all unnecessarily items from our budget and I have saved up 30.00. After bus fare to get there and home and entry at a discount this will leave us 10.00 for rides.I.work really hard and would love to be able to give these to my boys. They are very good kids and deserve a little fun. Thank you for considering us to win.

I want to celebrate my son graduating kindergarden this year, at first it was tough for him but he has succeeded with flying colors and I want to show him hard work gets rewarded.
