Looking for a way to turn Portland into a giant game board?

Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a three-hour sightseeing tour of Portland. Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.

The adventure begins in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and takes you on a journey to see the best sights of the city. From the Arts district to Powell’s bookstore and Voodoo Doughnuts … as well as amazing stops in between, you will enjoy all that Portland has to offer. The tour requires approximately 2.4 miles of walking and you will also experience the city’s famous street cars.

Using a smart phone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop to enjoy lunch or take in the sights… why not, it’s your schedule? Offered at a fixed price for a group vs. per person pricing, this city tour/game offers a great value to those on a budget.

Father’s Day Weekend Quest Special

Take your Dad on an adventure through Portland as you turn the city into a Giant Gameboard.  Enjoy this great outdoor activity with the entire family as you solve clues and complete challenges while finding hidden gems of the city. Start when you want and play at your own pace.  No long lines or reservations to make.

I wanna get me some adventure time… Fun fun fun for my lady and me cuz we broke and can’t afford no high-brow action. It looks like it’ll be more fun than that time pigs ate my little sister.

  5. Veronica June 5, 2014 at 14:10 #

Every summer I take my teenaged nephews on an adventure. This is perfect for this summer. It’s far better than the “adventure” of cleaning out the storage unit or watching their aunt’s vacation videos. I think you would be doing a great service to 2 young teenaged boys, if I won!

  6. Sarah G June 5, 2014 at 15:04 #

    Dad would love this!

  7. Heather June 5, 2014 at 15:20 #

My son’s father DESPERATELY needs some adventure. He is not the type to find it on his own. Structured adventure like this is JUST what he needs!!

  8. Brianna June 5, 2014 at 15:36 #

My husband is a Portland native, and I’m considerably newer to the area. This will give him an excuse to show off his skills to me and perhaps learn a few new things along the way. This sounds like a blast, and with his birthday having just past and my graduation imminent, we have plenty to celebrate.. and what better way!

  9. Lance June 5, 2014 at 15:47 #

We’re vultures from the suburbs. We’ve now mastered this smartphone technology (not easy pecking out messages with one’s beak!) so would really like to fly into Portland for a day of feathered fun. Scavenging is a natural for us, so this would be fun and help us keep a lower profile while furthering our knowledge of human doings and plotting for world domination. Gathering cash is a longer term goal, but not having pockets or the ability to wear a backpack is the first problem to tackle probably. We’re not willing to resort to fanny packs, but are working with some other ideas. Please help us in our quest– we’ll remember who our friends were once we do take over.

  19. Heidi June 6, 2014 at 09:10 #

Fun! I want to play and get free tickets! I’m a broke college kid needing fun things to do before I go crazy. Although after reading all the comments I think Violet, Victor and the hatchlings should win- what a great and creative comment :)

  30. Monica June 10, 2014 at 09:59 #

New to Portland and loving it! I’ve been struggling with what to do for Father’s day and can’t think of a better way to get to know the city and spend time together than an urban scavenger hunt! I agree though – Violet, Victor and the Hatchlings have a pretty brilliant entry. Hard to compete with that one. Good luck to all.
