Tom McCall Waterfront Park
Main entrance at S.W. Oak Street and Naito Parkway

On a sun-soaked July afternoon, there’s no better place to sip suds with friends than the Oregon Brewers Festival, one of the nation’s longest-running and best-loved craft beer festivals. Nearly 85,000 fans will travel from around the world to take part in the 27th annual event, which will run July 23 through July 27 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. Event hours are Noon to 9pm Wed. through Sat., and Noon to 7pm Sunday.

Admission into the festival grounds is free. In order to consume beer, purchase of a 2014 souvenir 12.8-ounce tasting glass is required and costs $7. Beer is purchased with wooden tokens, which cost $1 apiece. Patrons pay four tokens for a full glass of beer, or one token for a taste. There are no advance tickets sold to the festival; all purchases are made on-site.

In the main tents, the Oregon Brewers Festival will serve up more than 30 beer styles from 86 craft breweries from around the country; there are 88 different beers served, one per brewery plus two gluten-free offerings. From Belgians to Braggots, Pales to Porters, Radlers to Reds and Sessions to Saisons, there’s a style for nearly every palate.

New this year, the Oregon Brewers Festival has invited eleven brewers from the Netherlands plus one from Germany to send over their beer to be featured in the festival’s Specialty Tent, an area where an additional four-dozen vintage, barrel aged, blends and esoteric one-offs are offered. The festival is also flying over the European brewers, who will be available for daily meet the brewer sessions at the event.

Dubbed NL to PDX (#NLtoPDX), the program started when festival director Art Larrance learned that Portland has a Friendship City relationship with the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Upon visiting, he discovered a growing craft brewing movement that reminded him of the Northwest craft beer industry in the 1980s; brewers who are just beginning to explore new flavors and styles.

“Featuring international brewers is a natural extension for the OBF,” explained Larrance. “We want to develop a long term cultural exchange and share our passion, knowledge and friendship with these brewers as part of a collective celebration of great craft beer.”

The Oregon Brewers Festival is first and foremost a celebration of beer, but the event also features five days of live music, food booths, craft vendors, homebrew demonstrations and industry displays. The Crater Lake Root Beer Garden provides complimentary handcrafted root beer to minors and designated drivers; minors are allowed into the event when accompanied by a parent.

The OBF encourages responsible drinking and urges patrons to take the Tri-Met MAX Light Rail, which has a station just one block away from the main entrance. Attendees can also take advantage of the Hopworks Bike Corral, where volunteers from Rotary Club of Portland–Westside’s Cycling 2 Serve Fellowship will watch over bikes for free (donations will benefit Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” efforts to eradicate polio worldwide).

ABOUT THE OREGON BREWERS FESTIVAL
The Oregon Brewers Festival was founded in 1988 as an opportunity to expose the public to microbrews at a time when the craft brewing industry was just getting off the ground. Today, that industry has flourished, especially in Oregon, which currently has 166 brewing companies operating 207 brewing facilities in 66 cities in Oregon. Portland alone has 53 breweries — more than any other city in the world. The Portland metropolitan area is the largest craft brewing market in the US with the most number of breweries at 73. A study conducted at the 2013 Oregon Brewer Festival estimated the economic impact of the festival on the local economy to be $31.2 Million; it also showed that out-of-state and international visitors accounted for 52.5 percent of attendees. 2. Staci July 15, 2014 at 10:09 #

I have lived in portland for 8 years — and to some of my favorite memories are made from fun times in the summer. The brewers festival is one event I can’t miss – the amazing beer and the energy from our city is so great ! I would love to get a perk and be one of the lucky winners and get to go to this event. Cheers to many awesome beers !!!

  3. Grant July 15, 2014 at 10:10 #

Want to go so bad! Have been to a few Oregon brewfests but not the biggest (and from what I’ve heard, the best). Here’s hoping for some yummy summy brews!.. also, don’t hold it against me for saying yummy summy…

  4. Eli July 15, 2014 at 10:14 #

    Can’t wait!

  5. Sarah July 15, 2014 at 10:15 #

This would be so cool! I just really started getting into Oregon beers as I’m new to the area and would love to get to try a bunch all in one place like this. Thanks for doing this I hope I win!

  6. Melissa André July 15, 2014 at 10:19 #

Why you ask? Because the sassy little 4 year old next door greeted me with hands on hips today and said, “hey lady! Where your dog!?” I said he was inside. He seemed upset. “Oh. Where you go?” I told him to drink beer with my friends. He said, “when you get back you bring your dog to ME!!!” (Hands still firmly placed upon his hips). I’m not sure I can face that spitfire of a toddler without a bit of Oregon’s finest brews coursing through my body. That and one of my best friends recently moved to New York and only great Oregon beer could convince her to come back, at least for a weekend. Help me get my friend back!

  7. Elizabeth July 15, 2014 at 10:30 #

Oh man, I’d love a chance to go! We had to miss the NAOBF this year and are super bummed about it, so this would be a nice make-up festival.

  8. Joshua July 15, 2014 at 10:41 #

Beer is pretty cool. This would be cool.

  9. Christine July 15, 2014 at 10:57 #

  12. Crystal Nicholson July 15, 2014 at 11:37 #

I would absolutely love to Win the Beer Package ($250) for the 2014 Oregon Brewers Festival in Downtown Portland area. This would be a wonderful treat for me. To be able to enjoy some drinks, the Festivities + so much more. Would love an enjoyable weekend and to be able to taste all those different beers. Beer, Beer, Beer, let me taste those beers. Thank you!!
I hope you will choose me for this fun time package! :)

  13. Mike July 15, 2014 at 12:08 #

This is by far the best and most well organized beer fest of the year! Great location and an amazing turn out from people all over the nation and even the world. Would love to win this ticket package and be part of this once a year gathering!!!

  14. Jacob July 15, 2014 at 12:14 #

I can’t believe I’m going to be in Portland visiting during the OBF this year by accident. I’ve been deprived of good beer living in Las Vegas! Pick me!

  15. Kayla July 15, 2014 at 12:25 #

Its a must to go to this! so many great beers, cant wait!

  16. Georgia July 15, 2014 at 12:49 #

I’m in this situation where I’ve been living with my lovely boyfriend of a few years for a few months. Oh, and two of his friends. He works nights, I work days, he’s a broke musician, but I enjoy hanging out one-on-one. This would be an offer my beer-loving freelance-writing boyfriend certainly couldn’t refuse!

  17. Stuart M July 15, 2014 at 13:19 #

This is the first year in a while that I won’t be volunteering at the festival. I’ve decided I just want to drink at it this year! Free tix for me and my lady friend would be fantastic. Roll out the barrels!

  18. Elizabeth BW July 15, 2014 at 15:41 #

    Would love to go!!

  19. Kate Dedman July 15, 2014 at 15:48 #

Two of the best things in Portland… great craft beer, and the waterfront! It’s a summer tradition :)

  20. Matt W. July 15, 2014 at 15:55 #

I would love to go because this event will be a dual celebration with my best friend! We will complete a 50-mile fundraising bike ride for the National MS Society this Saturday, and his birthday is next Wednesday! It would be so cool to win this package to celebrate the fundraising accomplishment and another fun year around the sun.

It doesn’t hurt that this will be his first year at the OBF, either.

  21. Mike July 15, 2014 at 16:07 #

I’ve lived in Portland for 7 years and have never been!

  22. Lauren F July 15, 2014 at 16:21 #

I want to win because I went last year on my 21st birthday (July 26) and couldn’t think of a better birthday tradition than drinking some of the best beers in my favorite city! Can’t wait to attend again this year!

  23. Yume July 15, 2014 at 17:02 #

Every year I tell myself I’m going to go to this, and every year something comes up. This would be a good excuse to finally make myself go!

  24. Dave July 15, 2014 at 17:32 #

    Because OBF is the best!!

  25. erik mitchell July 15, 2014 at 18:14 #

I’m a long time obf attendee. It is the annual event me and my friends that go all the way back to high school get together to catch up. This year I have quit my job to start my own business, so I unfortunately don’t have the time to volunteer as I’ve done before, but can’t really afford the $50 to have the best time.

  26. Alan July 15, 2014 at 18:37 #

Would love to go, OBF is the best part of the summer!

  27. Cole July 15, 2014 at 19:25 #

I want to win because I love beer and I love free stuff. Need I say more?

  28. MK July 15, 2014 at 19:34 #

    Because…beer.

  29. Luna Raven July 15, 2014 at 20:55 #

It would great to win and have a chance to check out so many great beers, especially with this heat!

  30. Michael B July 15, 2014 at 21:56 #

Looks like it’s time to finally do this.

  31. Jamie July 15, 2014 at 22:07 #

Yes, yes, yes- a thousand times yes! This is such an incredible festival, and one of the only ones I’ll have the privilege of being in town for. I’d love to walk down on a sunny afternoon and have my mind blown by an astounding array of tasty brews! OBF really knows how to throw down. I’d love to discover some new favorites!

  32. Erica July 15, 2014 at 22:09 #

OBF is my favorite summer event! Winning this package would allow me to try all the beers I want and have a wonderful weekend. Please pick me!!!

  33. Jeff J July 15, 2014 at 22:35 #

    Um, beer. Duh.

  34. Joseph July 16, 2014 at 09:45 #

Would love to try the beer Fest again!

  35. Erin Slusser July 16, 2014 at 10:32 #

First year not volunteering since being in Portland. A little bittersweet. Excited for another year of fabulous beers.

  36. Dr. Suds July 16, 2014 at 10:37 #

    Glug, glug, glug

Why should you give me this beer pass, you ask?
I am a relatively new resident, and I am venturing into an oddball restaurant / catering business on my own this winter. However, I need to choose some FANTASTIC Oregon breweries to pair with my *particular type of food. And they’d better be damned tasty, because I want to show the cream of the crop for under-appreciated brews. I can think of no better way to network with prospective vendors AAAAAAND quench my thirst at the same time, than to wander around the 2014 Oregon Brewers Festival with my loverly lady.

So, whatdoyasay? feel like throwing the dog a bone today?

  37. april hamilton July 16, 2014 at 10:40 #

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Brew fest!! Since moving here 4 years ago my husband and I have made it a tradition to go. I count down the months then weeks then days then hours until its Brew day :-)

  38. Stacey W. July 16, 2014 at 10:45 #

This is an annual event that my husband and I attend, usually with a large group of friends. It’s awesome to be on the waterfront, people watching and checking out which breweries are participating, plus seeing what “interesting” beers are making the tasting room each year. I would love to win the beer package!

  39. Cam Jones July 16, 2014 at 11:24 #

I just moved here less than a year ago and love the NW beer scene! I would love to attend this event for the first time!

  40. Trent July 16, 2014 at 11:25 #

This is the premier event of the summer…every summer. The organizers do such a great job and all of the attendees are in such a fun, cheerful mood. Nothing else like it!

  41. Becks July 16, 2014 at 11:33 #

Friends and I attend the Brewfest every year and have so much fun. It’s like Christmas during the Summer. It’s a beautiful view, the sun is out and we’ve all got smiles plastered on our faces due to the delicious craft brews. Hope I win so I can enjoy OBF even more!

  42. Ryan July 16, 2014 at 11:38 #

Its my Birthday and my wife has to work :(… I have lived in portland for 4 years and have never been to the festival! i would love to be there this year

  43. Jill July 16, 2014 at 11:43 #

I want tickets because I’m driving all the way from Canada to be there!

  44. Joe G. July 16, 2014 at 11:46 #

That would be cool to win one of the beer packages to the OBF. We have been a few times and its always a good time!

  45. Jason July 16, 2014 at 12:04 #

After discovering this amazing event five years ago and attending twice, I’ve missed the last two years for a wedding (mine) and the birth of a child (also mine). So happy to be going back this year after giving in to the pressures of society.

  46. Garrett B July 16, 2014 at 12:31 #

Beer. Plain and simple. (…except none of the beer tastes plain or simple)

  47. David W July 16, 2014 at 13:52 #

    A World Wide Must event!

  48. Mark Carlson July 16, 2014 at 13:53 #

I am a home brewer and mostly drink my own beer, but every now and then I like to get out to a brew festival like this one to sample a wide variety of beers and become inspired to try similar techniques and recipes on my own. I have been to the event at least three times and am impressed by their ability to handle such a large crowd. The people are very friendly in Portland and interesting conversations can be had while waiting in line for your next beer. I’ve even had folks offer a sip of the one they are holding so I can see if I want to wait in line for it.

  49. Nicole July 16, 2014 at 14:12 #

Have been going for a couple years, have also been a server there. Would love to win such a fun prize! PLEASE and thank you!!!

  61. Alex July 17, 2014 at 10:20 #

I love the brewers festival. This year my parents are coming to town for the festival. Last year I went on 3 different days and tried just about all of the beers. This year I am going to try to sample every one.

  62. Amanda July 17, 2014 at 11:54 #

My friends are basically all bartenders, and it would be awesome to make connections while having a little fun. I also write about food and drink, but I do it on my own dime. It would be nice to have something to write about without having to pull from my wallet.

  63. Kenny July 17, 2014 at 12:25 #

I want to taste that sweet sweet 10 barrel SWILL! Makes me quiver!

  64. Liz July 17, 2014 at 12:47 #

I want to go, I haven’t made it to a beer festival yet this year.

  65. Kelly July 17, 2014 at 12:52 #

Please bestow upon me the tools to show my visiting from out of state best friend why this city is so, so great. We promise to be outstanding representatives of beer loving women everywhere and will also contribute to the release of hops & suds by starting at least two waves of Woo.

  66. Erika S. July 17, 2014 at 13:07 #

This will be my first Brewers Festival, so I have to start with a BANG!

  67. Tim July 17, 2014 at 13:24 #

Haven’t been to this beerfest for a few years.

Last time I went my friend and I were sitting in some chairs that a vendor had left out watching everyone close up shop for the day. A woman and her boyfriend walk by and the woman said, “You look clean, do you want to try a sip of this chocolate stout beer I just got”? I wanted to tell her that looks can be deceiving but in this case she was correct, I am clean, too clean.

This year I just need some free tickets to this fest so I can dirty up my liver with several different samples of brew. How about helping me out?

    : )

  68. kimlynn July 17, 2014 at 13:38 #

  74. Allyson July 17, 2014 at 14:59 #

I’d love, love, LOVE to win tickets to this! We recently moved to Portland, and I’m infatuated with this city. I don’t know if there is a prettier place! Having just moved, we are B.R.O.K.E – broke. Although there are plenty of awesome things to do for free here in this lovely city – very rarely is delicious, bubbly, tasty beer part of it all! I want to find new local beers – and FREE is the best price!
Portland + Sun + People Watching + Beer = Allyson’s Favorite Day Ever.

  75. Barbara July 17, 2014 at 15:04 #

I have never been to this beer festival! I’ve been to the winter and international but this one is blank spot on my list. I just started planning my wedding so extra expenses like these things have to wait, so we’d LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a pair of tickets!!

  110. Michael Mann July 17, 2014 at 15:53 #

I would live to attend this with my wife. Our 23rd anniversary is that week, and after all this hot weather we’re thirsty!

  111. Sam July 17, 2014 at 15:54 #

I can’t to pair great beer with great music from the Scott Pemberton Trio. They rock the house with a really fun unique sound!

  112. LL cool OYD July 17, 2014 at 15:59 #

  117. jack July 17, 2014 at 16:29 #

I’m an avid brewer, beer is my passion and this is my mecca!

  118. Bobby July 17, 2014 at 16:32 #

I’d love to win because I am new to Portland and just yesterday, some co-workers told me this event is so great, they plan their summer vacations around it.

  119. Bradford DeLuca July 17, 2014 at 16:33 #

What a better way to start off my Bachelor Party weekend than with the brew fest?!!

  120. Scott Hamilton July 17, 2014 at 16:36 #

Because it’s beer. That is why.

  121. McKinzie July 17, 2014 at 16:51 #

There are a lot of comments here, so if by chance you make it down to mine, thank you; I am a brewers wife and have never gone to this event. I would love to take a girlfriend and have a great time and brag about it all the time like many of the brewers and their friends do. Please give me this power.

  122. Laurel July 17, 2014 at 16:56 #

This is the best summer beer festival and there are so many new beers I would like to try!

  123. Ariana July 17, 2014 at 17:04 #

New to Portland and trying to take advantage of everything that makes it so wonderful. This brewers fest certainly seems like the perfect opportunity and I’d love to go!

  124. Luke Dumyahn July 17, 2014 at 17:05 #

I moved here last August from Arizona and am finally completing my first year here in the Portland area. I am falling in love w the area and really falling in love w the beer here. I would love to attend this event and get the taste of a true beer festival here in Oregon!

  125. Andi July 17, 2014 at 17:28 #

I’ll be visiting Portland for the first time – arriving on the 26th. We are staying in a hotel nearby and there is so much going on – I can’t wait!
Winning tickets would make it so much easier to decide how to spend our time!

  126. Eric July 17, 2014 at 17:38 #

Enlighten me, i need a change from PBR

  127. Drew M July 17, 2014 at 17:38 #

This will be my 10th year coming down to Portland for the Oregon Brewer’s Festival from Seattle. I’ve already done my research and there’s 10 beers I NEED to try over the course of the weekend, so winning the Beer Package will be a great start to the weekend and trying all those beers!

  128. Alyssa Carter July 17, 2014 at 17:40 #

I want to drink all the beerz!

  129. Greg July 17, 2014 at 18:00 #

Who is a bigger hero than someone who can bring four friends to this for free?

  130. Greg July 17, 2014 at 18:03 #

I just started brewing my own beer and will be putting it into the secondary around this time, so I would LOVE to go and pick the brains of some professionals about making beer.

  131. John July 17, 2014 at 18:05 #

I would love to take my fiance to the beerfest, as we met there years ago. This would be a fantastic way to celebrate our 6th year anniversary. It would be a great surprise! He deserves to go, works so hard, but can’t afford to, as he is the sole provider of our new family. He deserves this beer.

  132. Jenny July 17, 2014 at 18:20 #

I’ve never been to the Brewer’s Festival and have just recently started becoming a beer taster. What better way then the Brewer’s Fest to find out which are my favorites. What an amazing venue with the sun, Willamette River, Beer, and the fine people of Portland.

  133. Anthony July 17, 2014 at 18:26 #

The beer festival to end all beer festivals to end all beer festivals. Where else could one rub shoulders with bros, beer nerds and tourists and STILL have a great time? Count me in!

  134. Carson July 17, 2014 at 18:26 #

    I want this!
I must try all the beer!

  135. Mouthful July 17, 2014 at 18:28 #

I have friends coming to Portland and I’d love to show them this awesome part of our culture.

  136. pascal wright July 17, 2014 at 18:38 #

This is one of best brew festivals of the summer.Great location plus great people equals good time.

  137. evan stanton July 17, 2014 at 19:19 #

Seeing as July 22nd marks my 21st year making awesome happen, it’s time for me to set sail into the land of beer, bars and good times. What better way to celebrate than drinking beers from around the world for free?? Make a young boys dream come true, and offer him the nectar of the gods on his 21st at no cost.

  138. Miranda T July 17, 2014 at 19:20 #

This would be *the* thing to do before I catch a Sat night red-eye flight to visit my family; hopefully there’s an onsite bottle shop, because nothing says class like a checked bag full of beer.

  139. Jessie July 17, 2014 at 19:32 #

We go as tradition every year! Please pick us!!!

  140. roy nifoussi July 17, 2014 at 19:43 #

I haven’t been to this event in years. I would love to go again with friends.

  143. Jen S July 17, 2014 at 20:39 #

Yes! This would be a fantastic way to celebrate my birthday with friends visiting in town!

  144. kelsey July 17, 2014 at 20:40 #

I would love to win tickets! My dad is a writer for Northwest Brewing News (Danny Wilson, check him out!), Since we no longer live near each other, and because I’m still working off college debt, I don’t get many opportunities to try new brews, or talk with the brewers.

I am also thinking of a career shift and am interested in entering into the brewing world. If I win, not only would I have the best time tickling my taste buds, but I would be educating myself and making steps toward finding fulfilling work! I promise!

  145. Kathy Oravec July 17, 2014 at 20:42 #

I am a virgin to this festival……would love to attend!

  146. KRH July 17, 2014 at 20:46 #

  159. Wizwald July 18, 2014 at 00:21 #

I recently relocated to Portland from Wilmington, Delaware and would love a fabulous prize such as this opportunity so I could treat some friends and thank them for all their help in acclimating myself to my new home in PDX. So, towards the end of September I created a Facebook event, gave away all my belongings, boarded a train in Wilmington, and relocated to PDX. I arrived the first week of October, and was staying with my buddies girlfriend for a couple months. Since December I have been renting from a cute lil old lady and it is an Adventure every single day. I have seen many great sights thus far, Big Pink, Backstage bar, Powell’s, befriended some spectacularly Magic DJ’s (DJ Ginkgo & DJ Andy of Believe you Me), and visited a few neato bars. Back in Delaware I was not much of a beer drinker, but after these past few months I have began to truly LOVE and ADORE beer. I have been to Victory, Alberta St Pub, Kells, Base Camp, and many other great local Beer pubs/brewery’s. I sure do fancy wining this contest so that I can treat those who helped make my relocation to PDX possible and picking me would please the Universe as well. Thank you for your consideration, LOVE and LIGHT you all.

I would love to attend this year, I’ve been back in Colorado for 2 years and feel like I’ve missed so much in the world of craft brewing in Oregon, this would be such an awesome way to get back up to speed, and a good reminder as to why Colorado, although a beer Mecca in its own right, is still and always be just behind Oregon in the world of craft brewing!

  161. Bryan Hurayt July 18, 2014 at 06:22 #

I absolutely love this festival and go every single year. One of my favorite parts of the summer I can’t miss it!

  162. Michael Grover July 18, 2014 at 06:56 #

I would like to attend the OBF on you guys because it’s the best event of the summer! Thanks!

  163. Kristin July 18, 2014 at 08:02 #

We just moved to the area from SoCal and have been saying Portland propaganda to all family and friends. My sister and boyfriend are traveling for the brew fest to celebrate his big 3-0 and would love for them to enjoy their Portland experience so much that they want to come back as soon as they leave! As new parents, it would also be great to have a day of adult time with great beer and fun!

  164. Sandi July 18, 2014 at 08:55 #

Beer is good for the soul, according to my husband!!

  165. Linda S July 18, 2014 at 09:13 #

Yahoo…I would love to win! I am a beer lover and relocated from Missoula, MT to Portland in hopes of starting a new Mammography career….still waiting on that sadly. I am unfamiliar with many of the beers Portland has to offer. This would be wonderful way to meet new people and enjoy quality beer. I hope to win one of these awesome tickets. Would be so grateful to win and could definitely use the fun! Thanks for your consideration :)

  170. Scott July 18, 2014 at 09:37 #

  171. Ben Gaskill July 18, 2014 at 09:43 #

I would like to attend because the OBF is one of highlights of my summer. I have been trekking down from Seattle for multiple years with friends.

    Who wouldn’t want to go?
I don’t know if anyone actually reads these comments, but I think “Tim” (one of the above comments) said it best with “Beer. Please. Yum.” Lol. That guy should win.

  177. Anna G July 18, 2014 at 10:59 #

This is a summer tradition! Every year, my husband and two friends drive 3 hours for this event! This year is extra special as one of those friends is making her “Return to Beer!” after having a baby! Winning this would only make it that much more of a welcome back!

  178. Jackie July 18, 2014 at 11:42 #

This festival is why I moved to Portland…oh and my fiance…but mainly this Festival. I missed it last year because of my brother’s wedding (jerk) so I have oh so many beers to make up!

  179. Tricia July 18, 2014 at 12:12 #

  182. Janet July 18, 2014 at 13:09 #

New to Portland….originally from Wisconsin….and love beer!

  183. Nick July 18, 2014 at 13:41 #

  185. David July 18, 2014 at 14:53 #

Sounds like so much fun!!! We have never been, and would love to go (win the glasses/tokens)! I have been trying to educate and broaden my palate, and this would be a perfect place to jump right in. Please pick us!!!

  186. Claudia July 18, 2014 at 15:50 #

A summer tradition…nay, a tradition of traditions. Every year we look forward to Oregon Brewers Festival which is a very serious activity for us: we love beer, we love Portland and we love love love OBF.

  187. Galen July 18, 2014 at 15:57 #

I tried to get a Palo Alto, CA brewery, Fossil Fuels Brewing Co, to attend, with no success. They brew a beer made with yeast collected from a fossilized bee’s gut; 45 million year old brewer’s yeast!
I was hoping that they’d make it up, but since they can’t, maybe I can get one of these packages and see what else this year’s festival has to offer?
    Thanks!

  188. Chris July 18, 2014 at 16:12 #

Back in Portland after a six moth hiatus. This would be the perfect way to celebrate!

  189. Sarah July 18, 2014 at 16:19 #

I would love to attend this event because it’d be a wonderful experience for me and my husband. We both love Portland and he loves craft brews and talking to others about beer. We’re on a tight budget and this would make our trip even more special, especially if I could surprise him.

  208. Jordan Ryker July 19, 2014 at 13:56 #

I’d like to go because I don’t like spending money but I do like drinking beer. Plus, I am a virgin. And a prophet. And an astronaut. And a liar.

  219. Taylor July 20, 2014 at 09:37 #

I recently moved to Portland with my husband. During the convincing process (about 6 years ago befor we were married) we came up here to check out the city and it just so happened it was during the brew fest. We attended and had a fantastic time. It was one of the selling points that eventually pulled us out of the sweltering desert and transplanted us to beautiful Portland. It would be such a nostalgic greatness to anniversary that date not only as husband and wife, but also as official Oregonians!

  220. Jessica July 20, 2014 at 09:59 #

    I love Portland and beer!

  221. Patrick Hyde July 20, 2014 at 11:58 #

Beer and Oregon are two words that just fit.
If I win I will bring friends to enjoy the wonders of beer…

I gave birth 11 weeks ago and have been home with baby since. My husband thinks I should get some of my identity back and go with a friend. He’ll watch our little guy.

Beer also enhances breast milk production!

I’ve been watching online for a way to bankroll this event like a cyclops with a monocle. I want only the most quaffable of beers and to be able to attend and revel in such an event would leave me joyous beyond words. I beseech thee, pray; let this parched gentleman partake in such glory.

  240. Brandie July 21, 2014 at 12:06 #

I have lived in the metro area all my life and have never been. It would be AWESOME to win ;)

Been attending OBF for years with friends — it’s become a tradition! Our first year we had a group from Tennessee, Texas, LA, and Portland. Excited for 2014!

We moved here from Colorado and everyone we meet say Oregon has better breweries than Colorado and that we need to go to this, we would love to go, it sounds like so much fun!

  247. Andrea D. July 21, 2014 at 13:24 #

The OBF is one of my favorite events in Portland. Even though I no longer live near PDX, I still try to attend every year.

  248. Erik Mace July 21, 2014 at 15:43 #

Been going to OBF for ~12 years with my colleagues. This will be the first year I cannot go on a weekday.

I would like (very much) to win THIS for my hard working hubby and his brother. They haven’t seen one another in four years, due to his deployment in the service. Whatta Welcome Home for Bob!
    Thank you for your consideration.

My husband and I got married last weekend but don’t have time nor the money to take an extravagant honeymoon, so we plan on attending our beloved OBF to celebrate. We’ve attended every year for the last 5 years since we have both lived in Portland but this one should be extra special as it’s our first as a married couple! Please give us the best wedding present ever by hooking us up with a $50 beer package. Cheers to OBF! Can’t wait till this weekend!

  254. Erik July 22, 2014 at 11:37 #

This sounds like the place to be!

I desperately want to go to this, but how will I ever taste all the beers I’m interested in? Bring friends, I guess, and divide and conquer.
