The Portland International Film Festival (PIFF) Oregon’s largest annual film event runs February 9-25. Now in its 40th year, the Festival features over 160 films (98 features and 66 shorts) culled from over three dozen countries.

This year’s Opening Night selection is Raoul Peck’s Oscar-nominated documentary I am Not Your Negro, which focuses on James Baldwin’s final, unfinished novel and is a potent reflection on what it means to be Black in America. Following Opening Night, PIFF retains a sizable presence downtown and throughout the city with screenings at the Whitsell Auditorium, Cinema 21, Regal Fox Tower, Laurelhurst Theater and several other venues. PIFF is generously brought to you in part by LAIKA, Regal Entertainment Group and Willamette Week.
