We have been utilizing PDX Pipeline as our advertising venue of choice for nearly four years. As a newer establishment in the Portland area, we tested a few media options, and tried several mediums to try and get the word out about our events and happenings. What we found was that the PDX Pipeline reaches the broad base of customers we are looking to reach, yet the cost is a fraction of what it would be with most of the other advertising opportunities we researched and utilized previously.

What I have personally found to be even more important - or maybe more relevant than just cost – is the feedback I have received from our customers. When I ask them where they heard about us, or how they found out about us, they do not hesitate, nor do they need to try and remember. They always know: “Oh we heard about this on the PDX Pipeline.” As a marketing manager, that is a question that can go unanswered for a mighty long time, and sometimes there is never an answer. Being able to quantify who finds out about an event, how and where is the ultimate goal for us, and with Pdx Pipline, we achieve this on a regular basis. The other terrific thing about the PDX Pipeline is the staff is very willing to work with you, communicate regularly, and even though they are super busy, they still make you feel like you are a priority.

As a Marketing Manager for a non-profit arts organization we are constantly challenged with breaking through the marketing noise that ensues in traditional media outlets. We are also challenged with the effort to reach and bring in new audiences to our concerts. Sometimes organizations must take risks and venture into the non-traditional to differentiate themselves. PDXPipeline.com helped us do just that. Because they incorporate so many pieces including social media into their marketing messaging for their client we have seen nothing but positive returns from our advertising and promotional endeavors through PDXPipeline. We’re not your average art gallery, and our art openings aren’t your average wine-and-cheese affairs. We think art should be accessible and built for the people; so when we went to look to spread the word about our free openings to attract your less-than-usual art opening crowd, we thought PDX Pipeline would be the perfect fit.

In a town with so much to do every night of the week, it’s great to have a resource like PDX Pipeline to help promote the cause. Portland Saturday Market and PDX Pipeline have been in cahoots since May 2010. Unquestionably the best blog in town for events, PDX Pipeline has their finger on the pulse of Portland. It only made since for PSM to join forces with the Pipeline and reach the broad base customers that we are constantly trying to reach in the go-go world of marketing.

PSM has a large presence in Portland, but as a small business we were able to drive more traffic to our website utilizing the Pipeline.  More importantly that the increase in traffic to our website was the customer comments we collected engaging the Pipeline followers with several different giveaways.

Our marketing agency is always looking for great business partners and PDX Pipeline is officially one of them. In 2012, we decided to use PDX Pipeline’s services to promote the Portland Rose Festival.
