Ideal Entertainment Group and Magic Arts & Entertainment are stoked to present THE MARIJUANA-LOGUES, a live stand-up comedy show about pot culture. This off-Broadway hit was written by Doug Benson (Last Comic Standing) and Arj Barker (Flight of the Concords) and currently stars Tony Camin, Rob Cantrell, and Dan Gabriel. The show makes its Portland premier at 8 pm on Thursday, December 10 at the Bagdad Theater.
THE MARIJUANA-LOGUES is a “hit” unlike anything you have ever seen. Playing for a year Off-Broadway, the show has spawned its own CD on Comedy Central Records and Crown Paperback Book. Catch the buzz live as Tony Camin, Rob Cantrell and Dan Gabriel riff on the rites and rituals of pot and regale the crowd with the highs and lows of marijuana.
Told from all points of view from hazy to highbrow, THE MARIJUANA-LOGUES never loses the pot… er, point, demonstrating that the stories surrounding the bud are as varied as those who indulge. THE MARIJUANA-LOGUES sets herb center-stage, delving into fact and fiction, myths and misnomers alike. Not since the ‘60s has there been such an exploration of this oft-taboo but totally titillating topic.
Disclaimer: This production does not glorify drug use. Rather, it illustrates that cannabis culture is a thing of substance, humor and creativity.
