What: Posada Milagro — A Christmas celebration with theatre, music, and dance for the whole family
When: Sunday, December 13, 2009, 1-5 p.m.; pastorela performances at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Where: El Centro Milagro, 525 SE Stark Street, Portland, Oregon 97214
Admission: Free (donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Oregon Food Bank). Seating for the performances is limited. Free general admission tickets will be distributed at the theatre beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; no advance reservations will be taken.

Miracle Theatre Group invites the whole family to enjoy the Posada Milagro, to be celebrated Sunday, December 13th between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at El Centro Milagro (525 S.E. Stark St., Portland).
This community celebration filled with Latin American traditions reflects upon the journey of Mary and Joseph in their search for refuge and is day of fun for the whole family! Although unable to perform due to inclement weather, Miracle has reunited the cast from last year — a select group of community artists and young actors together with members of the Teatro Español ensemble — to present the pastorela called "Si ayer fuera hoy" (If Yesterday Were Today) written by Angel Ignacio Gonzalez Rocha of Mexico City and directed by Miracle Theatre Group's Education and Outreach Coordinator Gabriela Portuguez. The afternoon's entertainment will also feature live music, dance presentations, arts and crafts workshops, a piñata and, of course, traditional tamales!
This year's celebration will once again feature two performances of the pastorela (2 p.m. and 4 p.m.). Admission to the event is free, but performances are limited to ticket-holders only. Free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the theater beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 13. Guests are encouraged to bring donations of canned food for the Oregon Food Bank.
