November 17: Mural Unveiling Of "Cars into Plowshares" @ Farm Cafe
Who is that girl covered in paint, and what's with the gigantic farmer in the middle of the parking lot?
What:   Aren't you glad you didn't call the cops? After months of whispering and wondering about the goings on of the wall on SE 7th and Burnside, comes the official unveiling of the impressive "Cars into Plowshares" mural. We welcome other artists, residents, business owners and local press to participate in a presentation honoring the colorful 46 foot addition to the neighborhood. A meet and greet with the artist, along with a wine and appetizer reception is courtesy of The Farm Café.
Who:Â Â Â Portland, Oregon based "Cars into Plowshares" creator Teressa Hamje is an established large scale muralist and prolific commercial artist. Her work can be seen at local bars and specialty markets across the city.
When:   Tuesday, November 17, at 5:00 p.m. Appetizers and refreshments are available from 5:00 to 7:00. The artist will take questions and meet guests throughout the evening.
Where:   The Farm Café is located at 10 SE 7th Avenue between Burnside and Ankeny. There is a parking lot, street parking and bike racks. The 12, 19, and 20 buses stop directly in front of the restaurant.
