October 15: Bad Veins March Back Into Portland @ Rotture
Bad Veins will bring their fuzz-filled orchestral indie anthems back to Portland on Thursday, October 15 with a performance at Rotture. The Cincinnati-based duo of Benjamin Davis (vocals, guitar, keys) and Sebastien Schultz (drums) are currently on a national co-headlining run with The Subjects, sponsored by venerated indie music staple Daytrotter.com.
Since the release of their self-titled debut LP (July 21 on Dangerbird Records) Bad Veins have caught the attention of audiences and critics across the nation with their irresistible hooks, propulsive beats and inventive use of vintage electronics, such as megaphones, telephones and a reel-to-reel tape machine. MTV.com dubbed the group a "Band You Should Know," while lead single "Gold and Warm" was singled out by Spin as one of September's "Songs You Must Hear Now."
