SKAMANIA LODGE TOASTS BOUNTY OF LOCAL BREWERIES WITH CELEBRATION OF BEER WEEKEND
Pacific Northwest Resort Honors Washington and Oregon's Superior Brews
Stevenson, Wash. — (September 14, 2009) — Skamania Lodge, a Pacific Northwest mountain resort located east of Portland, Ore. in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, will toast the region's breweries at its inaugural Celebration of Beer Weekend from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, October 25, 2009. Casual imbibers and serious hops experts alike can participate in a nine-hole golf tournament, home brewery instruction and beer-themed food pairings featuring seasonal and unreleased brews. Beer aficionados can enjoy the weekend's events a la carte or with a package deal that includes overnight accommodations, entrance to all events, and commemorative beer mugs (complete details below).

Amnesia Brewing (Portland, Ore.); Double Mountain Brewery and Taproom (Hood River, Ore.); Full Sail Brewing (Hood River, Ore.); Laht Neppur Brewing Co. (Waitsburg, Wash.); Lazy Boy Brewing (Everett, Wash.); Salmon Creek Brewery and Pub (Vancouver, Wash.); Walking Man Brewing (Stevenson, Wash.); Yakima Craft Brewing Co. (Yakima, Wash.) and other beer makers from across the region will showcase their dominant drafts, unreleased ales and seasonal offerings.

Saturday, October 24
9 – 11 a.m.
Skamania Lodge Beer Cup Challenge: A nine-hole tournament on the award-winning Golf Course, with the winning foursome crowned the Beer Cup Champions. $35 per player, $125 per team.
11 a.m. – Midnight
All Tapped Out: Guests receive a celebratory price on a pint of the Pacific Northwest's best beers all day after 11 a.m. at the River Rock Lounge.
12 – 1 p.m.
Make Your Own Beer: Mike Rumlow with Wy-East explains the process and appliances needed to make homebrewed beer.
1 – 5 p.m.
Cheers for Beers: An extensive beer tasting served by brewers from across the Pacific Northwest. Between 4 and 5 p.m., brewers will roll out their seasonal or unreleased beers for tasting. $1 per tasting ticket, $4 per pint, $40 for 50 tickets.
5 – 9 p.m.
Beer-Battered and Beer-Boiled Seafood Buffet: A dinner buffet featuring beer-themed foods including beer-battered fish, beer-steamed shellfish and more, designed by The Cascade Room chefs. $32.95, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Sunday, October 25
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Kegs and Eggs: A hot breakfast buffet featuring traditional favorites with a focus on Pacific Northwest ingredients and flavors. $28.95, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
