First Thursday @ Igloo Gallery: Signal Fire
Please join IGLOO Gallery this first Thursday, presenting work by the residents of the Outpost Artist Residency program, created by Signal Fire
For the Outpost Residency, each artist was awarded a week-long stay in a truck with camper, that was thoughtfully placed in an isolated wilderness location with limited contact. In this show you will see work by such notable Northwest creators as Vanessa Renwick, Ethan Rose, Tom Colligan, Bruce Conkle, Ryan Jeffery < http://www.wrongturn.org/ryan.html>, Marne Lucas < http://www.marnelucas.com/ >, Jenn Rawling, and Katy Asher. Each brings a personal response to their experience living inside the camper,in nature, in the middle of nowhere, with limited resources.
Also included in this showing is a personal and insightful essay by curators Amy Harwood and Ryan Pierce. Artists will be in attendance.
