October 17: Oysterfest @ Paddy's
Oysterfest- Saturday, October 17th
Join us for an all-day event celebrating Irish heritage with an aphrodisiac cuisine. Saturday, October 17th starting at 12 noon we'll be closing the street for our tented festival. The tents will feature Oysters on the Half-Shell, BBQ Oysters, & Oysters Rockefeller. The traditional pairings for these slippery shellfish are Guinness and champagne, so be sure to visit one of the champagne stations or grab a pint from either the festival bar outside or the main bar in the pub. Irish dancers and the occasional bagpiper will entertain the crowd throughout the afternoon. Activities include an oyster shucking workshop table for those wanting to get their hands wet. The highlight of the day is the “Team Oyster Shucking & Eat Contest” at 5pm. Immediately following the contest, live music will take the stage providing an opportunity for dancing until the festival ends and the party moves inside. Portion of proceeds benefit the Children's Cancer Society.
