October 8: Grindhouse Film Festival presents an 80's Exploitation Double Feature! @ Clinton St Theater

This Thursday October 8th only at The Clinton Street Theater, The Grindhouse Film Festival presents an 80's Exploitation Double Feature!  ALLIGATOR (at 7pm) and CHAINED HEAT (at 9pm) $8 for both movies!

Alligator (1980) Robert Forster stars as a cop who finds proof of a giant man eating alligator living in the sewer beneath Chicago. Soon the massive beast smashes its way up into the city, and starts roaming the streets and swimming pools looking for human food. Our man Henry Silva shows up as a hard drinking badass and big game hunter out to kill the rampaging gator, and possibly get laid on the side. The screenplay for this movie was written by John Sayles as a metaphor for the ills of society. That's all well and good for some, but we're here for the non stop excitement, the hard boiled acting, and the surprising amount of humans devoured by the giant angry alligator!

Chained Heat (1983) Linda Blair is a first time offender sent to a rough women's prison filled with violence, drugs, and lesbianism. Now she must learn to survive among the non-stop knife fights and steamy shower scenes. Two warring girl gangs rule over the inmates, and the depravity is all overseen by a sleazy warden (who has a hot tub in his office) Co-starring the great Tamara Dobson (Cleopatra Jones), and our man Henry Silva. The inevitable prison riot is only a few ticks of a time bomb away! "What these women did to get into prison, is nothing compared to what they'll do to get out!"

35mm exploitation trailers before each movie.  We'll be back with a ton of old school kung fu in October and November, so stay tuned.
