Artist Statement:
“Collaborating digital illustration with the good ol' ink and paper as Karyn's designs conceptualize the world around her. Organic forms intertwining with human touch captivate her thoughts leading to her obsessive & constant journey to understand the reason for inhabitation on beautiful Mother Earth.
Karyn's attempt to find identity and reason is through the act of conception.
Her work is motivated and inspired by natural beauty, complexity and the under-considered.
Creating is a way that Karyn finds center; it is what can always be relied on in this ever inconsistent world. Karyn's drive, source material, research, everything, comes from observing and asking questions about this abstract world we are inhabiting.
Karyn relishes in the opportunity to experiment and develop in pursuit of something that she can actually believe in. Art aids the identity of who she is, speaks the voice that she can not speak and inflicts peace and harmony into her soul.”
