Ida B Wells: A Passion for Justice
This documentary depicts the life of Ida B. Wells, pioneering African American journalist, activist, suffragist, and anti-lynching crusader of the post civil war era. Film will be followed by discussion on the connected struggle for women and Blacks to win the right to vote in the U.S.
Saturday, August 21st, 7:00 pm at the Bread and Roses Center, 819 N. Killingsworth Street (on Tri-Met lines #44 and #72). Summer salad buffet available at 6:00 pm for $5-8 donation. Meeting is free and open to all genders.
