Wazi is a heart wrenching yet inspirational story about a group of people living openly with HIV in rural Tanzania. It follows 5 people through their journey of self acceptance, as they stand up to their community and combat the stigma they encounter on a daily basis. A tribute to courage and strength; and a reminder to live for who we are and stand up for what we believe in.

Wazi was filmed in northeastern Tanzania where one of the filmmakers served in the Peace Corps, as a community HIV educator, for 3 years. Two of the filmmakers will be at the event and will be available for discussion after the 30 minute showing.
