Rebecca Kilgore's distinct vocal stylings focus on music from the 20's-50¬Ëœs. She holds a steady presence in the world of radio, appearing on NPR's ¬Å“Fresh Air¬Â and ¬Å“A Prairie Home Companion,¬Â and recently being granted her own radio show on KMHD in Portland. In 2010, Rebecca was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and has been described as, ¬Å“one of the best interpreters of the great American songbook.¬Â
Dave Frishberg is an accomplished singer-pianist with a recording career that dates back to the 1960's. Frishberg has recorded with Kilgore on several albums including their co-authored album in 2001, The Starlit Hour. Frishberg was Grammy-nominated for Best Jazz Vocal on all four of his albums throughout the 1980s.
The ArtBar will feature jazz-themed specialty cocktails and Rogue Jazz Guy Ale- in addition to the regular selection of NW beer, spirits, wine, plus the full dinner menu- during evening Portland Jazz Festival events at PCPA.
