Elroy Artspace gallery is pleased to announce Scootiki: Mods & Gods, its second annual group exhibition of ¬ËœTiki Style' fine art. This year is a curation of cross-culture icons: vintage scooters and Tiki - and offers some other significant changes and new features which are all unique in the world of gallery art, indeed!
The group show this year features some of the biggest names in the Tiki Art world along with Portland artists old and new to the genre! “Scootiki: Mods & Gods” will enjoy another FUN and HUGE opening at our gallery host The Original Dinerant! This year we will attract our usual enthusiastic ‘First Thursday Artwalk’ attendees, and additionally will draw 200+ Vintage Vespa and Lambretta Club riders with their scooters + Tiki fans from around the region + Modernism fans, too!
Elroy will unveil and sell a custom Tiki Mug for the Scootiki event at the opening reception! It’s designed by tiki artist Mulder142 in collaboration with, and produced by Paul Neilson of Munktiki! This gorgeous mug will be a limited and Super-limited edition of just 125 mugs.
Portland's own Tiki drink mixologist and historian Craig Hermann a.k.a. Colonel Tiki has created a new Tiki drink for Scootiki, unveiled and served on First Thursday, made with and sponsored by Portland's B.G. Renyolds Exotic Syrups and Sailor Jerry Rum!
Elroy’s “Scootiki: Mods & Gods” show will serve also as the official Art Show of the National Lambretta Jamboree held in Portland July 8-10th!
