2012 Flicks On The Bricks

On four Friday evenings in July and August, the Square will be transformed into Portland’s largest outdoor movie theater for the entire community to enjoy! Pioneer Courthouse Square will kick-off this year’s FREE four-week outdoor movie series, Flicks on the BricksPresented by SmartPark, on Friday, July 27th . All movies, selected through a month-long on-line voting process, are sure to entertain the entire family and are scheduled on the following Friday nights as follows:

  • July 27th: The Karate Kid (1984)
  • August 3rd: Clueless
  • August 10th: A League of Their Own
  • August 17th: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Each Flicks on the Bricks event will kick off at 7pm with live entertainment provided by KINK.FMfollowed by movies which will begin at dusk. Admission is FREE and attendees are encouraged to bringlow back chairs, pillows, cushions or bean bags to truly make the Square their ‘Living Room.’ FREELICORICE, courtesy of Natural Vines, will be provided to movie guests, while supplies last, and additional food and beverages will be available on-site for purchase.

Pioneer Courthouse Square encourages Flicks on the Bricks attendees to “Park Smartly” at one of the sixSmartPark garages located conveniently throughout Downtown. SmartPark’s parking rates start at the low price of $1.50 per hour for the first four hours of parking.
