Open the DOOR to Sustainability is a unique art show and fundraising event to benefit The ReBuilding Center and Sustainability. In addition to raising funds that will allow us to continue our work, the evening will be a celebration of the richness that sustainability brings to our lives: fresh local food, locally produced beer, wine and spirits, and original art made from salvaged doors are just a few highlights.

Art Made From Doors
Years ago, a valuable work of art found its way to The ReBuilding Center strapped to the back of a flat bed truck. It was a door, hand carved by the “Father of Woodworking” and premiere NW Artist LeRoy Setziol. In honor of this incredible story, local artists have created original works of art from salvaged doors. The doors will be auctioned during the event on June 19th, offering a unique opportunity to own an original work of art deeply rooted in the spirit of sustainability and creative reuse. See a selection of finished doors here.
Fresh Local Food and a Hosted Bar
This event is about celebrating sustainability, and what better way to do that than eating and drinking sustainably, too! Guests will enjoy delicious food catered by Abby's Table, Ned Ludd and Phresh Organic Catering. A hosted bar will feature the best of our locally produced beers, wines and spirits including Hopworks Urban Brewery, New Deal Vodka and Anne Amie Vinyards.
Live and Silent Auction
To top it all off, we have an enviable selection of incredible offerings from local businesses in our live and silent auctions. Get great deals on vacation packages, dining and hotel experiences and a huge selection of fun products, all while ensuring that The ReBuilding Center can continue to be a valued community resource for years to come. The offerings include:
- LeRoy Setziol hand carved door
- Sustainable art doors by local artists
- One Week vacation rental on Orcas Island
- Electric Scooter from Columbia Scooters
- Mt. Hood Meadows 2010-2011 Season Lift Tickets

- Two Nights of casual sophistication at the Nines Hotel

We need your support to continue our work. We hope you'll consider joining us on June 19th.
