The Oregon Crusaders – Oregon’s “Major League Team” in marching music – is about to kick off its tour and will be debuting its 2011 program in downtown Portland’s Director Park on Sunday at 5PM. Supported by over 20 of the Northwest’s top pageantry designers and music instructors, this powerful 110 member group draws youth ages 15-22 from the greater Portland area to create a powerful repertoire and an unparalleled field performance.
The concert on Sunday will be the first time the group has done a concert downtown since its founding in 2000 and will feature their 2011 show “The Blue Hour”, along with a variety of other pieces. The concert is free and will last approximately 1 hour.
