LOCAL GOODS First Friday Art Show on Friday, June 4 to feature artist Nate Luna and Sip To Live Herbal Teas.
Portland, Oregon, May 27, 2010 – Local Goods, a general store, will host artist Nate Luna on Friday, June 4 from 5:30 — 8:00 p.m. Come and sip Gibran McDonald's hand-blended infusions and view Nate Luna's art at Local Goods.
Local Goods opened in September, 2009 by Portland native Polly Rask. Local Goods sells practical, affordable, locally-made products. Rask's focus is on sustainability by selling reused, recycled, and biodegradable products. Local Goods inventory is ever-growing and worthy of a visit.
Nate Luna was born and raised somewhere in between the scorching desert sands and mystical red rocks of Arizona, and after a brief detour through the rain drenched streets of Seattle, he's called Portland home for the past ten years.
When asked what inspires him, Luna says it's hard to nail down one particular source, and his artwork reflects that. Music, cartoons, lowbrow monster movies, graffiti, hot rods, tattoos, and the culture that surrounds all of these things. He is constantly drawing or painting, usually two or three projects at a time, always thinking of what's next, which can be a little overwhelming at times. But he wouldn't have it any other way. www.NateLuna.com
Gibran McDonald is the owner of Sip To Live Herbal Tea Company, located in NE Portland. Gibran is an herbalist, yogi, and tea slinger. He will be at Local Goods sharing his hand-blended infusions and answering your questions about which blends are best for you. www.SipToLive.com
