Please join us for our 7th anniversary bonanza!

We can hardly believe it, but our beloved venue is turning seven! Here's to seven years of incredible talent and unforgettable evenings! In honor of you, yes YOU, the Portland community of musicians/music-lovers/serious partiers without whom none of this would exist, we're throwing a huge FREE anniversary bash with some of our favorite local acts! This line-up is, in our eyes, a snapshot of Portland's musical “now” – the acts which are at the forefront of an experimental electronic renaissance that is totally compelling and completely delightful.

Warming up the evening will be Golden Retriever, an experiment consisting of Matt Carlson (Oregon Painting Society) on analog modular synth and Jonathan Sielaff (AU) on bass clarinet. Their compositions are quietly psychedelic, soundscapes that unfold into the transcendent cosmic ether.

We'll then ramp things up a bit with the pulsing noise-techno of Operative, an experience which the Willamette Week–in this year's Best New Band poll where Operative took top ten accolades–rightly compares to “Getting run over by a semi trailer, then living to make it to the next rave.”

Keeping the cosmic dance party moving, we'll have Reporter, a band close to our hearts as their debut full-length “Time Incredible” is being released this summer on our own label, Holocene Music! The Reporter experience is a driving synth-rock voyage, a fantastical quest for dancefloor glory complete with fog machines and lasers galore!

Finally, we'll be graced by the psychedelic house sensation that is Miracles Club, a brilliant venture by Honey Owens (Valet) and boyfriend Rafael Fauria. We're inclined to agree with 20jazzfunkgreats, who recently wrote: “Miracles Club's 'Light of Love', a perfect introduction to whatever lies beyond, if whatever lies beyond is everything we had hoped for…”Light of Love” is dawn, a piano driven mini-epic which comes across like Hercules and Love Affair if they were into the United States of America, wave after wave of pure joy washing over us with that wondrous combination of feeric energy and material dance throb you can find at the core of everything we stand for.”

And of course, you'll be ushered through this magical evening with top-notch Dj sets by longstanding Holo besties Linger & Quiet and DJ Brkfst Sndwch!
