WHAT: For the fifth straight year the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has chosen Film Action Oregon to host the only officially sanctioned Oscar Night Party in Oregon. On March 7th, the Hollywood Theatre will be transformed into a sparkling shrine to the silver screen, with a red carpet complete with paparazzi, photo opps with an authentic Oscar statuette, food from some of Portland’s finest restaurants, fun contests and of course the Oscars hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin projected on one of Portland’s largest screens. This year’s honorary Oscar Night chair is rock star Art Alexakis of Everclear. The event will serve as a fundraiser to support Film Action Oregon’s education programs for youth and preserve the historic, Hollywood Theatre for generations to come.

Oh I would love love love to have tickets! I have the perfect dress to wear and everything but being a student I am severally short on the fundage part. I love the Hollywood theater and am one of the biggest movie buffs in town. I would be puddy in PDX Pipelines hand if I won tickets to the Portland Oscar Night Party at the Hollywood Theater!!!!

I am a huge Oscarphile and each year for the last 12 years I have a winning average of approximately 82% correct picks. I minored in Theater Arts in College with a focus on the history of motion pictures. I would love to attend this event especially at the Hollywood.
