THE TWANGSHIFTERS
Thursday, 5/26 – 6 PM
Emerging from the garages of Portland, OR, The Twangshifters busted down the doors of the Rockabilly scene in 2010. Combined with lead singer Sara Barry, The Twangshifters bring it home at every club they play. With standout tracks like “Daddy,” and ‘Goodbye’ The Twangshifters’ self-titled debut album is a timelessly soulful collection, an intoxicating blend of rock, roots and blues that appeal to the masses of every age and genre.

THE NEW IBERIANS
Friday, 5/27 – 5:30 PM
The New Iberians formed in the late ’90s from the ashes of another local Zydeco group, Mumbo Gumbo. Left with bookings but no band, leader Evan Shlaes called on some old blues friends for help. Not caring for the old monicker, he chose to rename the band after a recent visit to the Gulf coast. Firmly planting Louisiana roots in fertile Oregon soil, the New Iberians take their name from New Iberia, Louisiana, the queen city of the Bayou Teche, center of red pepper hot sauce production, and unofficial Cajun Capital.

FLOGGING MOLLY – CD signing
Tuesday, 5/31 – 6 PM
Founded in Los Angeles in 1997 by expatriate Dave King, Flogging Molly got its start and its name from a local bar called Molly Malone’s where the band played and grew and laid down the blueprint for its eventual success. Without consciously attempting it, Flogging Molly merged the music of King’s childhood in Dublin with the music of his adulthood in L.A. Speed of Darkness features Flogging Molly’s own blend of rock, folk, punk, blues and traditional Irish music with King’s populist poetry. The title track explodes with an intense rush of pure adrenaline and passion.
