Make Your Dream Halloween Ensemble While Learning Costuming Fundamentals
One-on-one consultations allows PDX Seamsters staff to understand what experience attendees have and design a custom curriculum to help each person achieve their costuming goals. Fundamental aspects of the costume are broken down and addressed individually – including pants, skirts, blouse/pirate shirt, swimsuit/bodysuit/leotard , basic body padding, masks, bodices, cape-making, wigs, makeup, and craft accessories – belts, hats, props, ornamentation, etc.
PDX Seamsters Open Studio is a self-paced learning experience. Open studio offers workroom access as well as hands-on instruction from active professional clothiers. From checking-in for a quick fix to large-scale projects spanning months, PDX Seamsters makes available the space and time to facilitate your projects.

“Really enjoyed hanging out with like minded seamsters. The space was great, and the folks who run it were really friendly. I finished several projects I'd been working on for months!”
# Laura (PDX Sewing Circle Meetup) 10/10/10
I brought two friends, and I'm very glad I came. We intend to go in November. We also now know to come early to get a table too. Definitely my kind of laid back helpful people. I was also glad that my husband was not the only boy there!
