Oregon Public Broadcasting’s “Oregon Art Beat” host/producer KC Cowan wrote a book about the Catholic Patron Saints and she asked Portland artist Chris Haberman to illustrate it…and illustrate it he did – 21 full color paintings on found material.

This Thursday is the book release and art show. ALL 21 paintings used for the book will be on display to accompany the reading and book launch! 100 first printings of the book signed by the author and artist will be available for purchase. This is the first book published by The Peoples Art of Portland (Jason Brown/Chris Haberman) in league with the wonderful KC Cowan.

KC (the host of Oregon Art Beat) is a lifetime Saints’ scholar and she and Chris Haberman were joking one day after striking a friendship, about the saints and happened upon the topic of a project. KC wrote an amazing, informative and entertaining book and Haberman spent months working on the paintings. KC’s words are funny and Haberman’s paintings are colorful.
