Put On Your Gown, Pints for Prostates Comes to Town
For the third year in a row, Rogue Ales reaches out to men through the universal language of beer by hosting Pints for Prostates events at all of our pubs. Pints for Prostates will be at the The Green Dragon in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, September 30th, from 12 PM to 6 PM.
Clad in Doctor's attire, pub staff will host a full day of events: Hourly Bathroom Tours and Latex Glove Contests, A Toast to Pints for Prostates, Bleu Ball Specials, and group members will be on site with Prostate Cancer prevention information and apparel. Pub guests can show their support by wearing their Prostate Cancer awareness wristband that will be provided by The Green Dragon.
One in six men is at risk of developing Prostate Cancer during his lifetime. Pints for Prostates is a campaign developed to reach men with information about PSA testing and prostate health screening. Prostate Cancer is the second most common type of cancer among men in the United States, and every year, over 200,000 new cases are diagnosed within the U.S. alone.
“Having a brand like Rogue involved in the campaign will help us reach more men in their late 30s and early 40s..,” said Prostate Cancer survivor and founder of Pints for Prostates, Rick Lyke. “The beer community is coming together to support Pints for Prostates, and we're going to be able to reach millions of men with a life saving message.”
Pints for Prostates is a 501(c) 3 charity that donates 100% of all funds raised to fighting Prostate Cancer and assisting men with the disease.
