The public is invited to participate in a series of engaging activities dedicated to promoting sustainable living on Saturday, May 21st, from 1 - 4 p.m. Hosted by the Friends of Tryon Creek and Portland State University Students, park goers can look forward to visiting stations set up on trails that will provide ideas on how to eat seasonally and locally and find creative ways to reuse and recycle more efficiently.
“Friends of Tryon Creek’s Sustainability Day is a fun way for families to interactively explore sustainability issues while enjoying a stroll through the park”, says Matthew Collins, Education Coordinator for the Friends of Tryon Creek.
The Sustainability Day event is free and open to the public.
