A tribute to Frank Zappa on his birthday at the Mt. Tabor Theater with performances by Pojama people (featuring Ike Willis) and Sneakin' Out.
Playing the music of Frank Zappa in celebration of his birthday, Pojama people have teamed up again with Zappa alumnus Ike Willis for a special night at the Mt. Tabor Theater.  Willis worked with music legend Frank Zappa from 1978 to 1993, and can be heard on such notable albums as Joe's Garage (he was “Joe”), Thingfish (he was “Thingfish”) and Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life (he was “The Walrus”).
Sneakin' Out brings a progressive fusion sound built on a bluegrass platform with harmonic mandolin leads, standup bass and auxiliary rhythms. Their high energy live shows have captured the attention of national artists giving them a chance to open for acts such as Everclear and k.d. Lang along with John Jorgenson and Pink Martini.
Fans of Zappa's music will not want to miss the chance to see Pojama People and Willis deliver the best tribute to Zappa around.

My winter holiday of choice is ZAPPAMAS! His birthday is Dec. 21st and I’ve celebrated that for years with some FREAKING OUT. What better way to ring in ZAPPAMAS than with Ike Willis and the Pojama People, who do a great job bringing Zappa’s music to life?? GREAT OOGLY-MOOGLY!!!
“On a personal level, FREAKING OUT is a process whereby an individual casts off outmoded and restricting standards of thinking, dress and social etiquette in order to express CREATIVELY his relationship to his immediate environment and the social structure as a whole.”

Holy rockin’ Molies! I have had dreams about Frank Zappa as my father, a mad scientist, or the prankster orchestrating some plot in many a dream over the years. I would love nothing more than the chance to smile and freak with so many other folks (And my partner) and still have some of my meager waitress money to help the other orphans I love celebrate the holidays!!

What better way to celebrate christmas in a fashion of zaniness and pure jams? Why, with the music of Zappa of course!
