The Oregon Garden Brewfest has released the lineup for its 9th annual event at The Oregon Garden’s Grand Hall. A record 62 breweries will be presenting their products, for a total of 125 beers, ciders and mead. Cheers to Belgian Beers is back for its seventh year and is changing it up for 2013. The Belgian-style only Ale Festival will feature no single yeast strain for the beers entered, no dart throw to diversify the color and strength of the beers and no People’s Choice Award. When Cheers to Belgian Beers started in 2007, it was to help introduce Oregonians to the breadth of style and flavors of beers brewed in Belgium.

Lompoc Brewing will host the Black Out Beer Fest on Friday, Feb. 22 from 4 to 11pm at the Fifth Quadrant, 3901 N Williams Ave. The Black Out Beer Fest will feature a dozen dark beers from Lompoc and special guests Breakside Brewing, Columbia River Brewing Co, The Green Dragon and Widmer Brothers Brewing Co.
Lompoc Brewing has announced the date for its seventh annual Chowder Challenge, an event that determines which restaurant serves up the best clam chowder in the city. A dozen local brewpubs and restaurants will vie for the coveted Chowder Cup at the annual Chowder Challenge on Saturday, February 23 from Noon to 4 pm.
