The Rosewood Initiative

These free neighborhood events are a pop-up market and resource fair, with music and family activities all mixed into one. They focus on celebrating the beautiful and diverse community in East Portland while bringing people together in support of local market vendors. This year boasts a wide array of 25 vendors per market, selling handmade jewelry, art, beauty & skincare products, clothing, food, and more!

The markets are a little different from a traditional market. The Rosewood Initiative has integrated a voucher system, called “Rosewood Bucks,” into the market, to make it more accessible for people of all income levels, and to bolster vendor revenue. Event attendees get $10 worth of Rosewood Bucks (subject to availability), which can be exclusively used at the Saturday Celebration’s market. Come out and join in the fun in support of these East Portland makers and nonprofits!
