With two decades of experience in the music industry, Seattle’s own Grieves has sculpted a remarkable path as an independent hiphop artist. Originally signing with Rhymesayers in 2009, Grieves toured globally, sharing the stage with a plethora of influential artists such as Atmosphere, Prof, Macklemore, T-Pain, Watsky, Brother Ali, Evidence, Chris Webby, Rittz, People Under The Stairs, Pepper, Bad Fish, and many more.

Grieves’ extensive catalog has garnered hundreds of millions of plays, landing him at the coveted #1 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #57 on the top 200. Along the way, his musical journey has caught the eye of major publications like Pitchfork, Playboy, and even your mom’s diary. Transitioning to a new chapter in his career, Grieves now self-releases his music under his label, “Storm Watch Record Club.” Always passionate about his craft, he is currently in the studio recording his next album, which promises to be another milestone in his storied career. In Feb 2023 Grieves teamed up with his long time friend Mouse Powell and made an action packed EP called WHY NOT?

I have always wanted to see him preform. Every time he comes to Portland I am either too broke to attend or out of town

I am a diehard Grieves fan that hasn’t been able to go to a show in awhile now, and now that I’m a new mom finances are pretty tight. I’d love to see this amazing dude again!

I’ll be honest, I don’t go to many hip-hop shows but I’d love to start going to more. I feel like it’s hard finding that old-school intellectual rap in 2025 but this seems to check off all of the boxes. I’d love to put myself out there and check it out!

Grieves speaks to my soul. I have been listening to him for years and his words and music have helped me through some hard times, including my struggle with alcoholism. Currently rebuilding my life and it would be a huge stress relief to go see him!

I’ve been on the hunt for a adventure of some sort that we haven’t been able to, or outside the comfort zone for us and perhaps even something we have done just not in a long time. Well recently my fiance has been in the search for new music to play with us during family game night and grieves has become a new member of our playlist and I would love to surprise my family with a fun little night out and quality time together outside the house/comfort zone. Great way to start the new year right! Good luck everyone and whoever wins this hopefully you enjoy the experience 😃❣️🎶🎵

  26. Fulya on January 31, 2025 at 4:29 pm

I just got into Grieves! Tickets are for sure kind of pricey but I would LOVE to go see my first hip-hop show for free AND feel it out 😉

Thank you so much PDX for being so awesome!
